Creating an Arigathanks Board

Arigathanks Boards are created from your Host menu, not from an event — a board doesn't need an event attached to exist.

Creating your board

1. Go to Host → Arigathanks boards → New board.
2. Give it a title. Optionally add a markdown description and a banner image.
3. Optionally link it to one of your events — this is just a reference; the board still lives at its own URL and isn't gated by that event's RSVP list.
4. Save. You land on the board's management page with a Copy link button — that link is how people find the wall.

You'll also get an email with a QR code and link — handy for printing or sharing directly — whenever you create a board or upgrade its tier.

Visibility & controls

• Visibility — public (default), password-to-view, or password-to-post.
• Hide author names — posts stay up, names come off.
• One post per person — on by default.
• Posting window — optional opens/closes times, plus a manual close.

Moderating posts

Turn on Require approval before posting in your board's settings, and new messages stay hidden from the wall until you review them in the board's Moderation queue — Approve to publish, or Reject to keep it off for good (a rejected poster is free to try again). It's off by default, so posts still go live immediately unless you turn it on.

You can also pull an already-public post at any time: open the board's wall or management page and click Hide on it. Hidden posts stay attached to the board — for your records, or to unhide later — but drop off the public wall.

Arranging posts

Posts show newest-first by default. Open Arrange posts from the board's management page to drag messages into whatever order you'd rather show them in — group by theme, or put a favorite up top. Available on every tier.

Media

Hero images and inline GIFs live on Cloudflare R2, separate from event cover images (which stay in Supabase Storage). GIF search runs through KLIPY, with required attribution shown in the composer. Video isn't supported.

Custom board URL

Plus and Unlimited boards can trade their share code for a memorable one — set it from the board's management page under Custom URL (offkai.app/boards/your-custom-url). Lowercase letters, numbers, and hyphens only, minimum 3 characters.

Exporting a keepsake

Plus and Unlimited boards can export in two ways, both from the board's management page or wall:

• Keepsake PDF — a formatted PDF of every visible post, hero images and GIFs included.
• Download / Print — on the board's public wall, opens a clean, print-friendly version (no site chrome, footer, or cookie banner) through your browser's print dialog.

Free boards don't have either export — upgrading unlocks both.

Scheduling a reveal & reminders

Plus and Unlimited boards get a Reveal & reminders panel on the board's management page:

• Reveal — set a date and time, and the recipient (you, if left blank) gets emailed a link to the board right then. Or skip the schedule and send it immediately with Reveal now.
• Remind contributors — for boards linked to an event, this nudges attendees who haven't posted yet. It fires automatically about 24 hours before the board closes, or on demand. Boards without a linked event have no attendee list to draw from, so reminders aren't available.

Pricing

Every board starts free. Posting is always free for whoever signs it — the price below is a one-time fee the host pays to raise the board's post cap and unlock Plus perks, not a subscription and not a per-signer charge.

Upgrades are one-way — you pay once to move up a tier, and that tier is yours for the life of the board.
