Beyond a headcount, some hosts want to know more — cosplay character, oshi, dietary needs, merch size. RSVP questions let you ask up to 8 custom questions that attendees answer when they reserve.
Setting them up
From the event create/edit form, add up to 8 questions. Each one has a type:
- Short answer — a single line.
- Paragraph — a longer free-text box.
- Single choice — pick one option, up to 10 options.
- Multi-choice — pick any number of options, up to 10 options.
Any question can be marked Required. Fundraiser events don't get this section at all — donations don't carry RSVP questions.

Where attendees answer them
The questions show up on every path to a spot: a normal RSVP (any payment method, including card), switching from Interested to a confirmed RSVP, and joining the waitlist. Claiming a waitlist offer asks too — but only if the attendee skipped the questions when they first joined the waitlist. If they already answered at join time, the offer doesn't ask again. Fundraiser donations and additional-ticket purchases don't ask — those are their own separate reservations, and the questions belong to the primary RSVP only.
Answers are frozen to the wording they were given
Whatever an attendee answers is saved together with the exact question wording at that moment. If you reword a question afterward, everyone who already answered keeps what they answered under the old wording — the meaning of their answer never shifts under them. Only new answers see your updated wording.
Because of that, reworded questions can add an extra column to your CSV export: if a question's text changed after some attendees answered, that column gets a companion column titled "(asked_as)" showing the original wording those older answers were given under.
Where you see the answers
Each guest's answers show in their detail sheet on the Guests page. The CSV export adds one column per question — for a multi-choice answer, the selected options are joined with "; ".
Attendees can review or edit their own answers
From their ticket page, an attendee can go back and change what they answered. Hosts can't edit an attendee's answers on their behalf.
