Some hosts add a Consent agreement to their event — a short, host-written statement you're asked to acknowledge when you reserve your spot. It's often used for things like photo/recording consent or house rules, but a host can write whatever they need into it.
Where you'll see it
The agreement appears as a checkbox in the RSVP panel, right before you confirm your reservation. The text is exactly what the host wrote — Offkai never edits or translates it. A small tag next to it tells you whether it's (required) or (optional).
Required vs. optional
- Required — you must check the box to complete your reservation. The confirm button stays disabled until you do.
- Optional — it's there to inform you or collect a soft opt-in; you can reserve without checking it.
If you already had a spot
If a host turns this on — or makes it required — after you've already reserved, you keep your spot. You're never forced to go back and accept it just to hold onto a reservation you already have. If you haven't answered it yet and later change something about that reservation (like your payment method), you may see the checkbox then, but it's shown to you as optional even if the host marked it required.
Fundraiser donations and extra ticket purchases are their own separate reservations, so each one asks again in full.
Your answer is locked in
Whatever you agree to is saved with your reservation the moment you make it — the exact wording included. If the host edits the agreement's text afterward, what's on file for your existing reservation doesn't change; only new reservations see the updated wording.
